Westwood International School (WIS) is the school of choice for internationally-minded families in Botswana. WIS has been operating since May 1988 and caters to about 550 students from 39 countries. The school hires highly qualified, diverse, and professional staff from Botswana and around the world. 

WIS is the only International Baccalaureate continuum school in Botswana. The IB curriculum framework draws on both local and global perspectives and emphasizes the need for a sustainable world. The IB curricular programme centers on inquiry and concept-based learning, attitudes, transdisciplinary skills, the learner profile, and action.

WIS is accredited by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We are the only US Department of State-assisted school in Botswana. Regionally, WIS is accredited by the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA), and the Independent Schools Association of Botswana (ISAB).
